Before you apply

- 2 Choose the post-secondary school you want to attend and determine the study period for which you need funding
- 3 Confirm your school designation
To apply for StudentAid BC funding, you need to create a Student Account. In your account, you can enter your information, upload your documents, track your application status, and view and accept your assessment.

If you’re a student with a disability, you may be eligible for additional provincial or federal funding. Go to How to apply for disability funding to learn more.
The latest you can apply is 6 weeks before your study period ends.
The earliest you can apply is when applications open for the upcoming program year, usually in June.
You do not have to be accepted into your study program before applying for student aid, but you will not receive any funding until your school confirms you are enrolled in eligible studies.
After you submit your application, it will be assessed by StudentAid BC. You'll receive an email from StudentAid BC letting you know when your assessment is available. Log in to your Student Account to view your assessment, which shows how much funding you may be eligible to receive. You must review and accept your Notice of Assessment before you are eligible to receive funding.
You can log in to your Student Account to check online the status of your application.
