Applications for full-time studies for the 2017/2018 program year are now being accepted.
A 2017/2018 program year application is for classes that start between August 1, 2017 and July 31, 2018. If you have not done so already, get started on the application process now by registering with StudentAid BC and creating a StudentAid BC Dashboard Account.

How much can I get?
When you apply, StudentAid BC will determine how much you’ll receive by comparing your educational costs and living expenses with the amount you and your family (where applicable) are expected to contribute.
For the 2017/2018 program year, if you have dependent children, you can receive up to $510 per week in combined loan and grant funding for full-time studies. If you do not have dependent children, you can receive up to $320 per week of full-time study. The total amount you receive will be determined by your total assessed need, the type of award funding you are eligible to receive, the maximum funding available and the length of your study period.
Effective August 1, 2017, the application process and award calculation will be streamlined and simplified due to the introduction of a fixed student contribution model. We will no longer count earnings during the student’s study or pre-study periods as resources. Instead, students (and spouses, if applicable) will be expected to contribute a fixed amount based on their previous year’s family income. Learn more here.
